Clean and Inspect
Those little buggers can get into  your camper during the cold winter season so make sure to check for rodents and bugs inside your lil home.


Appliances
Keeping your appliances in tip top shape will help to make them last longer.  Turn on the fridge, freezer, and stove to make sure they are working correctly. 


Check Tires
Make sure to check your tire pressure before pulling out.  If you don't keep your camper at home they sell portable tire inflators that will plug into your 12v socket in your truck. 


Flush your Antifreeze
Now it is time to flush your antifreeze from your system.  If you know how to do it then it will save you a trip to the shop.

Cooking a Turkey on the Grill for Thanksgiving Camping RV

Thanksgiving is coming up and you are looking forward to having turkey but there is no way that giant turkey is going to fit in your oven.  Here is a link for cooking your turkey while you are camping. 

Cooking your turkey on a gas grill using in-direct heat!

1.  Place the bird on the side where the burners are off. 
2.  Make sure your temperature is at 350 degrees.
3.  Follow the cooking directions on your bird
4.  Place a pan underneath the turkey as it will have lots of drippings.
5.  Turn your turkey so they legs are facing towards the opening of the grill.
6.  Use a meat thermometer to make sure your turkey is cooked     correctly.

If you have come to Colorado just for trout fishing you have come to the right place.  However, in the reservoirs there are many other types of fish that you can catch.  Here is a list of trout fishing and reservoir fishing you will find in Colorado.  

Catching a trout is a great adrenalin rush due to the fact that they like to jump up and out of the water to try and get off the line.  

Fishing in Colorado for trout is a great place!

Salmon eggs, marshmallows, or worms are excellent for catching these fish. 

Types of Trout in Colorado:

Brown Trout: The spotting pattern is composed of black spots and also red orange spots surrounded by light blue.
Lake Trout (Mackinaw): The fish has a white, irregular spotting pattern on a dark background with veriform marking over the back and head. Unlike other trout, they have a deeply indented tail fin.
Cutthroat Trout (Native): Cutthroat have a crimson slash on either side of the throat beneath the lower jaws.
Brook Trout: The pectoral, pelvic and anal fins are often orange, edged with black & white. The body is dark with read spots and surrounded by blue and white spots.
Rainbow Trout: Identifying Marks are the black spots on a light body and a red stripe along the sides of a fish.
Kokanee Salmon: At the end of their third summer, females develop a red/grey/white pattern while males develop hook jaw and turn brick red.
